Events

North Ayrshire Active Schools have three events calendars – Primary, Secondary and ASN that run across the academic year. Target sports as well as experiential activities are included to make sure we have a wide variety on offer. All age groups have the opportunity across the year to take part in our calendar.
North Ayrshire Sports Academy

North Ayrshire Sports Academy (NASA) is the flagship programme delivered by Active Schools. This is a sports coach education and training programme providing up to 140 pupils across North Ayrshire with training, mentoring, qualifications and experiences. This year long programme allows participants to boost their CV and gain valuable experience as well as developing key transferable skills including confidence, communication, leadership, responsibility and time management. NASA pupils are given opportunities to deliver sessions in associated primaries and the wider community to allow them to put their qualifications into a practical setting.
Young Ambassadors

The North Ayrshire Young Ambassador programme allows young people from S1-S6 to work with their Active Schools Coordinator, PE department and wider school and community. Their role is to promote sport and motivate and inspire other young people to get involved in sport inside and outside of school.
